i think im in a i-might-explode-anytime mood now. i might just erupt anytime.
i seriously think that our school, compared to other schools, are two worlds apart.
in sports, eg:track, other schools get new jerseys every year. if they dont, they have their own tracksuits that has the school name printed behind the tracksuit. and. what do we have? we have nothing? we have tracksuits that are bought with our own money. and during competition, the team are all wearing different kinds of tracksuits. wheres that bond.
i just dont get it. okay. i dont compare with other schools. lets compare track with basketball. basketballers get new, and i mean it, brand new jerseys every year. i dont think they are cheap anyway. converse basketball jerseys are not some cheap brands of jerseys. they get new ones every year, why do we trackers get jerseys that are re-used, and re-used for year after year? maybe the price is a problem. but. if basketballers can get converse jerseys, why cant we get a better brand jersey and a better design one? i dont see the problem.
maybe. we are seen as lousy runners who cant bring glory to the school at all. but honestly speaking. do you people out there think that we are given proper training? personally, i think we dont. what we do for trainings are just plainly WARMUP. ever since our coach left, our training has been like so slack. and one way to prove it. my junior who clocked 67 seconds for 400m. did 73 for nationals. tell me. a drop in 6 seconds. is it based on the attitude of the runner, or the training that we're doing. i think it's the latter.
go ask around the year 1, 2, 3 trackers what training we have been doing during the holidays. and i guarantee that you will say. why is it so slack. and im serious. this is getting us nowhere. track is gonna decline. if the Cgirls can get 10th for their relay, they can surely get into the finals IF they are given proper training. and im emphasising on the word IF. so, i dont really see why cant we trackers bring some glory to our school. maybe you people think so, but i personally dont.
and. i realised. if we had accmulate points for the previous nationals meet, we'll be given tickets to go and watch the nationals finals. and shiying did pretty well last year and got us some points. so i think we SHOULD have tickets for the finals this year. BUT apparently, i was told that we DID NOT have any qualifiers for the finals this year, so we do not have tickets for the finals. jow ridiculous can this get. the tickets are given to the school, not based on the achievement they acheived this year. so. WHY DONT WE HAVE ANY TICKETS FOR THE FINALS.
